As explained on this web page, there are three routes for each leg of Phase 2b. There's the consultation route (published in 2013), the preferred route (published in November 2016) and the confirmed route (published in July 2017).

The multi-coloured line shows a depiction of the consultation route for Phase 2b of the proposed HS2. The route on this map should be accurate as it is derived from data provided by the Department for Transport in 2013 for the consultation route for Phase 2b. You may also wish to look at the preferred route for Phase 2b. There are separate web pages for showing maps of the route of Phase 1 and the route of Phase 2a.

The underlying map on this web page is provided by OpenStreetMap and its contributors. It is released with the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 2.0 licence.

The generation of this map uses data that has been provided by www.streetmap.co.uk.

A data.gov.uk web page provides access to data for the HS2 including the preferred route for Phase 2b. This data is provided as an ESRI shape file. It was released on January 7th 2016 with the Open Government Licence. I've converted this file to GeoJSON. This GeoJSON is used to generate the multi-coloured line.

Tweaking the map, printing it or using it on your page

You can use the +/- buttons to zoom in/out, i.e., to show the map in more/less detail. And you can hold the mouse down and then drag the mouse if you wish to move to a different part of the map.

If the map isn't quite what you are after, you can tweak the map choosing whether to add/remove nature areas and/or public rights of way, and altering the centering of the map, the width of the map, the height of the map and/or the level of zooming.
